We believe it to be part of our duty of care towards the Members who use Reiki Healing just for their friends and family to be able to obtain insurance protection without the need of CPD (continuous professional development) as well as those who use Reiki as a therapy treatment.
Reikiparty International has negotiated with Balens for a block insurance policy, at an affordable price, to be available to provide protection for all of its Members who use and practice Reiki Healing and other therapies. The policy contains two main parts; £3,000,000 comprehensive indemnity insurance for Reiki and other therapies with commercial legal protection. Reikiparty act as an introducer to Balens on behalf of the Reikiparty Members to enable the benefit of the availability of a comprehensive insurance policy.
Who are Balens?
Balens are a specialist compassionate Insurance broker for Complementary Therapists and Organisations. They were established in 1950 with over 50 years of service, support and advice. Their motto is ‘We care for the Carers’.
The key points and benefits of the Policy
The cover is £3,000,000 per section in any one claim with no excess. The policy offers unlimited number of claims in the year, unlimited defence costs are also covered.The policy is what is termed as a mobile policy which means that you are covered anywhere in the UK. You will be covered if you hold a Reiki share, attend a Reiki sharing friendship day, teach others Reiki - no matter where you do this in the UK for example in: your home, in a rented room, in a village or church hall, in a natural health centre, in a hotel room and even in a mobile unit such as a camper van.
The multi therapy policy will cover over 300 other standard low/medium risk therapies subject to suitable qualifications.
The policy will cover the member to work anywhere in the UK for Medical Malpractice, Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, Products Liability and a Legal Expenses Package including Inland Revenue Investigation, Legal advice, Criminal Proceedings etc. (More info in policy download).
The policy provides cover if you are temporarily working abroad, all Worldwide ex USA and Canada.
You are covered for claims from the date of the claim not the date of the incident. This is known as unlimited retroactive cover from previous work performed – no charge is made for this if joining from another insurance scheme.
